Four French journalists kidnapped in Syria by foreign-sponsored militants have returned home after spending 10 months in captivity.

Twenty-three-year-old freelance photographer Edouard Elias, 53-year-old highly respected and experienced war reporter for Europe 1 radio network Didier Francois, and freelance journalists Nicolas Henin and Pierre Torres, 37 and 29, arrived at a welcome ceremony at Villacoublay military airport outside Paris on Sunday.
President Francois Hollande said it was „a day of joy for France” as he met the four men, adding that France was „proud” to count the freed journalists among its citizens, and to have secured their release.
